About Tanja
In 2017, during a holiday trip to New York, I began my yoga journey. At the time, I was living the typical life of a business consultant, which involved a strong focus on work, lots of travel at unusual hours, and very little attention to my personal needs.
I had tried yoga classes before, but it was this very Jivamukti class in New York that truly changed my life. I regained my consciousness which brought me back to life, and gradually guided me out of the teflon-mode that had consumed me after ten years in the business world’s relentless cycle.
Back home in Zurich, Switzerland, at that time, I was fortunate to meet some experienced and great yoga teachers, including Karl Straub and Ben Makosch. I embarked on an intense journey, attending 1 to 2 yoga classes a day because I felt a strong inner calling to bring me „home“. This path not only changed my lifestyle, including my diet, but also transformed my energy. I felt stronger, more resilient, clearer in my thoughts, and more grounded. My professional life also took different paths, and I would even dare to say that I became more successful as I evolved in my daily yoga practice.
Over the years, I have developed a yoga practice rooted in Hatha Yoga, incorporating elements of Yin and Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga. This involves a dynamic sequence of postures (Asanas), holding certain poses for extended periods, synchronizing breath with movement, and ending with deep relaxation.
I can adapt my yoga style to any level of participants.
